What arrow weight should I be looking at?
I've got a 26" draw length, and am shooting at 50lbs. I use 100 grain field points and broadheads.
Guy at Dick's told me heavier is better, and I should look for 500 grain arrows. Just looking for other opinions, as I'm still pretty new to archery.
Answer:
500 gr is waaaaay too much. 300-350 is perfect for deer. Moose/elk i would go up to 400 gr(no tip or fletching).
Remember 300gr+100gr(tip)+fletching, nock etc=400 gr which is good for deer. You need a good spine tho, too soft will snap your arrow.
