Guess you should've done the math about The TaylorMade R9 Driver is a 24 Clubs In One: Change the face angle, lie angle and loft to affect side-to-side flight by up to 40 yards – 8 different club head positions. Eight club head positions made possible by FCT multiplied by three MWT configurations: 8 x 3 = 24. 24 Drivers in 1 club.
As TaylorMade's advertising describes, you just had to adjust the head of your club and only move the weights around, you have a custom drive, instead of messing with your stance and your swing over compensating your aim. You are able to adjust the lie and the loft of the Taylor Made R9 Driver head - all these variables in total give you 24 different set up options for you driver.
But in fact, new adjustable club system just seems like it's a bit technology and way too gimmicky for some golfer's tastes. It's normal, what we should understand is timing is very important. If you change clubs when you're playing or swinging poorly (and expect the clubs to cure your slump), you'll be frustrated when your bad swing habits carry over to the new equipment. It's unrealistic to expect any club to fix, or compensate for, your swing flaws. So change clubs only when your game is in a good groove. Besides, the driver is always the toughest club to change and adjust. Getting use to a huge club head is a big psychological factor. A large club head also tends to make golfers over swing in an effort to crush the tee shot. Instead, try slowing your tempo. Stiff flex will be best for you. You don't want an XStiff unless you are swinging around 115+ and you don't want a regular if you are below 95. That's the basic rule I tell people and almost any company will tell you.
Note- the shaft stiffness will depend on the actual shaft, if you go to the shaft makers website, in this case TaylorMade's, you should be able to find a chart that will make recommendations based on your swing speed, launch angle, etc.
